Mentoring Program

Our Mission

The Rockefeller University Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) Mentoring Program is dedicated to supporting, enhancing, and promoting both research success and career development by establishing a culture that optimizes the relationship between trainees and their mentors.  This program builds on the Hospital’s rich tradition of bringing the scientific method to the study of its training programs and the clinical research process itself, thus assuring that there will be future advances in the design, organization, and conduct of clinical investigation.

The CCTS Mentoring Program will promote trainee research success and career development by providing:

  • Mentoring Resources for mentors and trainees
  • A Mentor Database for trainees
  • Educational programs for mentors and trainees

Instructions for mentors: If you would like to be added to our Mentor Database, please contact Michelle Romanick: mromanick@rockefeller.edu. At any time you can deactivate your account, close your mentee panel, and/or change your password.  Individuals who would like to request that you to serve as their mentor will be instructed to contact you via email.  If you wish to mentor the individual, please indicate your acceptance by selecting “accept” in your profile.

Instructions for mentees: If you would like to access the Mentor Registry, please contact Michelle Romanick: mromanick@rockefeller.edu. You can search for mentors by name, institution, and/or research interest.  You can select multiple possible mentors. Please contact the potential mentor(s) by email to introduce yourself, describe your research and career goals in 2 – 3 sentences and why you would like them to be part of your mentor team. If the potential mentor agrees to serve as your mentor, she or he will indicate that by selecting “accept” in the database.
